Graced with a temperate climate and endless golden beaches, this quiet
town is a mere 8km from the historic cross that was erected 500 years ago
when Bartholomew Diaz discovered South Africa. It is bounded by the
Bushmans and Kariega Rivers navigable for 40km & 22km respectively.
The rivers provide a rich backdrop for the varied bird and plantlife,
including a host of 100 year old cycads. In addition to its perfect mix
of unspoilt beaches the resort offers, rock pools, excellent swimming,
water sport, fishing and scuba diving opportunities coupled with easy
access to all the excellent game reserves and stunning scenery that the
Eastern Cape of South Africa has to offer.
