THE SPINNING REEL offers you an enjoyable, healthy and inexpensive holiday.
It is ideally situated on over 4 hectares of unspoilt natural coastline at Port Alfred, the popular and pleasant Eastern Cape holiday resort in the heart of the Sunshine Coast is 150km from Port Elizabeth, 150km from East London on coastal roads and 60km from Grahamstown.
* It is situated in a small bay with safe bathing and good fishing rocks on its own Indian Ocean boundary.
* The estate has fully equipped beach cottages, each of which is in sheltered and secluded surroundings up to 250m from the beach with no main roads to cross.
* Most of the cottages have sea views and are simply but comfortably furnished with 4 divans and a double bunk.
* Each cottage comprises 2 bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, bathroom and toilet. Electric lights and an electric refrigerator are installed and a gas geyser supplies hot water. A gas stove, complete with oven, is also provided. Each cottage has its own braai area.
A kiddies tidal pool in the rocks is perfect for little ones. The resort has its own private all weather tennis court.
* The privacy of guests is respected at all times. Dogs are not allowed. Servants can usually be employed at reasonable rates.
Wild game, birds, trees, flowers and plants are protected.
* To the west there are km's of golden beaches and rocky coastline where you will find restful solitude, good fishing and shells.
